– adds a hydrophobic layer that makes washing so much easier
– last but not least, the super glossy finish 

Cons:
– doesn’t protect against scratches caused by poor wash techniques
– doesn’t protect against water spots
– doesn’t stop the need for car washes 
– price of the service, mainly due to the prep it takes before application.
